We grow, play, move, continue to grow, move and move out. In turbulent times, a faithful companion gives stability, is old familiar and yet there is new to discover from here.
- As a child, to dive into your play island and explore it for the first time.
- As a teenager, to linger, to dream, to have your peace, to work and invite friends on it.
- As a young adult, to find familiarity and retreat in the new environment, in the first room away from home.
- As an adult, to conjure up oases of well-being and uniqueness in your spaces.
On this rug you arrive and take a breath, you make new memories here. Like with a friend, you share a story and so your rug becomes your long-lasting companion that you never want to part with. In a nomadic and urban environment, your friend accompanies you. From here you see the world with new eyes and change your perspective.
This rug is your personal island - no matter where you are - here you are at home.

The Origin of ILE MOBILE
Build your island - customization
The islands are based on organic shapes. Rounded by water and built up by the wind. Three surfaces overlap to create a cohesive island. Different textures are designed to help delineate layered shapes from one another, and colors make this character piece shine. Conceived as a modular system, the various elements can be moved and assembled in one of three color schemes. In order to ideally adapt the size to the imagination, the island is scaled. Of course, the colors of this collection can also be changed using our color palette. The color selection follows below.

KRAMIS x HSLU (Zora Aziza Weidkuhn)
At first glance, Zora Weidkuhn's rugs could be mistaken for aerial views of tropical islands: There the jungle is sprawling, there the beach invites you to take a bath, and in the middle a rock with a panoramic view beckons. The name of the design series is then appropriately ILE MOBILE, the mobile island. "My rugs invite people to dream. They serve as a refuge from everyday life, as a 'safe space,'" says the Basel native, who is studying textile design at HSLU for her bachelor's degree.
ILE MOBILE was created in a joint project between the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and KRAMIS. Twelve textile design students from HSLU spent two months working on designs for a rug collection on behalf of KRAMIS. The aim was to create a product that would last as long as possible. This should accompany the buyer for many years; from the children's room to the shared apartment to one's own home.

Rug care - ILE MOBILE
For the ILE MOBILE model, it is best to use a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush - ideally a tapping vacuum cleaner. It is important that the vacuum cleaner tube is pulled in a slow motion from the remote position to the body. Important: do not rub. In our shop you can find a vacuum cleaner attachment with rotating turbo brush. The attachment fits a tube with an outer diameter of up to 35 mm and is compatible with most commercially available vacuum cleaners.

On the following video you can see the execution of how to properly care for the rug.
Remove stains - ILE MOBILE
Spray mineral water with a high carbonic acid content on the stain and let this act for about 30 seconds. Afterwards you can dab the spot dry with a white household paper. (Attention: Do not rub!) You can repeat this process until the stain is gone.
